Cardtek has introduced more than 20 “Global First” projects, from the first contactless credit card in 2006 with Garanti Bank (now part of BBVA), to the first contactless prepaid card for public transportation in India with Axis Bank and NPCI in 2015. Lately the company also partnered with Emcredit, a subsidiary of the Dubai Economic Department, to introduce the first national mobile wallet solution of United Arab Emirates. Cardtek provides the project’s payment infrastructure including mobile industry knowledge, operational services and product enhancements to support future needs. The solution basically uses NFC technology, facilitates both in-store and remote payments from mobile devices and wearables. Cardtek is also highly competent at developing and implementing smart city solutions and technologies. The company provided an awarded national stadium card project (Passolig) in Turkey which enables sports fans use this card for shopping, buying tickets, verification of identity and enjoying campaigns within the stadiums and also around the city as well as for transportation.
